Healthy Relationship Education for Teenagers through Outbond

Rifka Annisa Women's Crisis Center in cooperation with the Smart House of Nur'aini, Majlis Ta'lim Muti'ah and Forum for Female Student Gathering of Jeruksari held a mentoring for teenagers with the theme "Building Healthy Teen Relationships and Reproductive Health". Core activity of this event was outbound along with teenage built Smart House Nur'aini and implemented in the area of ​​the Smart House of Nur'aini, Jeruksari RT 01 RW 20, Wonosari, Gunungkidul from 09:30 to 14:30 pm.
Andriana, as chairman of the Smart House of Nur'aini as well as chairman of the committee explained the importance of the event due to her concern on cases occur among adolescents such as sexual abuse, addiction to gadgets, and teen’s moral decline. "The event aims to increase the motivation of teens to be careful so they won’t to do the negative things. In addition, teenagers are expected to be good young generation and able to devote themselves to the community as well as always maintained a good friendship with each other, "he said.

The event was opened with a speech from the village head of Jeruksari, Mr. Eko Suranto. In his speech, he highlighted the importance of building healthy relationships among children and adolescents to enable the socially healthy relationship between adolescents, and away from negative association that does not comply with the values ​​and norms. On that occasion, he hoped through this event, theparticipants will be able to address various issues or cases that faced by teenagers from the knowledge and guidance they get from the mentoring. He also hoped that promiscuity among teenagers has always been good and the communication and friendship can take place in a sustainable healthy.

Outbound which was attended by 34 participants was started by doing ice breaking. In ice breaking, the participants along with the mentors did "pocky-pocky" game together and form groups spontaneously. Participants were divided into five major groups and made a name and yells to encourage each group. Once the group was formed outbound game will begin. There are four kinds of games in outbound activities, namely komunikata (communication through words) games, relay flour, water volleyball, and case studies. All four types of the games are designed with regard to things or phenomena which are interesting to talk among teenagers such as commucation patterns among adolescents, use of gadgets, and dating violence.

During outbound activities, participants seemed very enthusiastic and passionate in every game played. "I am very pleased and enthusiastic to join outbound. Outbound is very exciting and fun. In this outbound I personally learned how to cooperate with others, increase concentration, confidence, and also get more friends,"said Risky, one of the outbond participant.
Moreover, Lindah, another female participant, also felt pleased with the activities that she attended. "I am very happy and feel comforted by this activity. I also feel proud to be able to spend my weekends with things that are useful and positive like this. I got the experience, friends, and new sciences which are very helpful to me," she said.

In the end, Mrs. Andriana, chairman of the committee, gave advise to the participants, "Keep the spirit of achievement and develop the skills and knowledge you have. Establish a good relationship with the social environmentand hopefully knowledge gained today will be useful later in life." She also hoped that mentoring to teenagers could be done routinely and sustainably so that teenagers in Jeruksari and its surroundings become more critical and responsive to the various cases and problems that occur around them.[]
